Infidelity amongst celebrities is not abnormal to hear about. However, I think the media is all over this story because Tiger Woods had an innocent image. He kept to himself and tried to shy away from the press. In the eyes of many people, he could do no wrong. Coined as one of the best Golfer’s to have walked this earth, Tiger Woods was untouchable.
As an average human being, (non-celebrity) people looking in are probably wondering, “What the hell was Tiger thinking?” He has all the money in the world, a model wife, and beautiful children. What could he possibly gain from having an affair with more than one woman?
Being an All-Star athlete comes with its headaches and stresses. But that is no excuse for cheating by any account. There are tons of high profile celebrities that don’t cheat. It all comes down to values. Tiger’s values were challenged and he couldn’t do the right thing. Many people will never know what was going through his head. But we do know that he made a wrong decision. Tiger Woods will come out of this, but the media and his follower’s will never look at him the same.
